Sometimes I wish I could just getaway….preferably to a beach with copious amounts of pina coladas (don’t judge) and coconut water by the gallon. *Sigh* But until then, I’ll stick with Earth, Wind and Fire’s – Getaway. Have a happy Sunday! If you’re reading from a beach, I just wanted to tell you that I’m totally jealous right now.

Earth, Wind & Fire - SPIRIT

Earth, Wind & Fire – Getaway

Growing up I always remembered Tina Turner for her wild hair and hot legs, and not much has changed. As an entertainer she was a powerhouse with an animal magnetism that could be felt through her songs. Her fifth studio album, Private Dancer debuted in May 29th 1984 and became an outstanding hit, selling over 20 million records.

The Queen of Rock and Roll, Miss Tina Turner is the most successful female rock artist of all time, with 8 Grammys under her belt and selling over a 100 million copies worldwide. Her career has spanned more than half a century and its seen many triumphs and tribulations, but she has survived them all. So this Sunday, I decided to dedicate this one to Proud Mary!

Tina Turner's Private Dancer Tina Turner – What’s Love Got To Do With It?

legs Look at them legs! WERK!

On November 15th 1977, when I was still a wee egg in my mom’s ok..too graphic. On this day, the Bee Gees turned the disco fever into a full blown disease with their mega hit Saturday Night Fever based off the movie starring John Travolta. It sold over 15 million copies and went 15x Platinum, so it was only right that this Sunday’s edition would have three songs instead of one. What I love about each song is that it’s still relevant as it was in 1977. Take a listen for yourself.  Even though it’s Sunday, it feels like Saturday in my heart. snf edited stars
