Bonjour, tout le monde! Recently, I went on a winter vacation to Montreal and Mont Tremblant in Quebec. While in Montreal, I got the chance to visit the Van Gogh and Kandinksy exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Van Gogh is one of my favourite Dutch painters so seeing his work was a treat. I’ve always wanted to go on a ski trip, even despite the cold it was a beautiful experience, minus the bruised tailbone!  This was the trip that I realized how pitiful my grade 9 French was (2015 resolution anyone?) Poutine, snow, maple syrup…you can’t get more Canadian than that! Hope you are all healthy and well this holiday season! Á Bientôt!

Recently, I took a trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario to see Terror & Beauty: Francis Bacon & Henry Moore Exhibit, a collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings and photography. This exhibit begs to question if something terrifying can be beautiful at the same time? Bacon and Moore answers with a resounding yes.  (more…)
